Sergey Amosov

Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Commercial Court of the Russian Federation


Biography

Mr Amosov was born on August 10, 1948, in the Goryachiy klyuch village of the Bolshe-Razvodinskiy district of Irkutsk Oblast.

In 1972 he graduated from the Faculty of Law of Irkutsk State University.

He started his career in 1972. In 1976 - 1991 he worked in the courts and judicial bodies of the Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic. In 1981 - 1984 he acted as the member of the Supreme Court of the Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic, in 1988 – 1991 – as the First Deputy Minister of Justice of the Tajik SSR.

In 1991 – 1995 he was the main state arbitrator of the Irkutsk Oblast State Arbitration and the chairman of the Irkutsk Oblast Arbitration Court.

In 1995 – 2009 he was the chairman of the Federal Arbitration Court of the East Siberian region.

He was appointed the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Commercial Court of the Russian Federation by the Decree of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of December 25, 2009, № 502-SF.

In common, Mr Amosov has been working in legal profession for more than 30 years.

Honoured lawyer of the Russian Federation, LLD. Author of the book entitled “Fact-finding in arbitral proceedings” and more than 30 research papers.

Mr Amosov is awarded by many state and departmental orders: Order of Honour, II class Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", I class and II class Medals “For Merit to the Judicial System of the Russian Federation”.

He started working in 1979. In 1998 he started his career in dairy industry as executive director of LLC “Severniy Ankom” (wholesale of dairy products), the same year he was appointed the director general of CJSC “Velskiy Ankom”, since 04.11.2004 – director general of OJSC “Moloko” and CJSC “Arkhangelskaya Molochnaya Kompaniya”. Since 01.01.2009 till present time he has been director general of LLC “Aliance-Management” which performs functions of holding management.

Awards:

In 2000 V. Petrov was acknowledged as the best manager of the Arkhangelsk Oblast in nomination “Food and pharmaceutical industries”.

Awarded with the Diploma of the All-Russian contest “The quality of dairy products” in the “For contribution to the development of production” nomination (2005).
